Observe-Record-Research-Expand-Respect
family art for artists of all ages
Summer fun learning how
to keep a nature journal. Quick sketches train the eye and
hand to see the world in new ways. I have incorporated this as
warm up for most kids classes.
Nature journaling teaches many skills: drawing, observation,
writing, and a deep respect for all living things.
Kids and adults alike are encouraged to expand their knowledge
beyond our class time by researching things they’ve observed,
keeping daily journals, and learning more about the natural
world. We may meet at various locations such as woods,
pond, beach and gardens, where kids experience the unique
features, flora and fauna, of different places.
