Art for Kids - Down and Dirty with Pastels
Wednesday afternoons 4:00 to 5:30 - at 18 Savery Avenue, for kids of all ages.  $30 per class; 2 siblings for $50.
All materials are included.  We warm up with contour drawing from life, and move on to drawing basics, often creating gorgeous pastel paintings, and special holiday projects.

Nature journaling teaches many skills: drawing, observation, writing, and a deep respect for all living things. Kids are
encouraged to expand their knowledge beyond our class time by researching things they’ve observed, keeping daily journals, and learning more about the natural world.  We meet at various locations such as woods, pond, beach and gardens, where kids experience the unique features, flora and fauna, of different places.
 

Art as a Verb pastel painting for adults in the studio and
en plein air. Saturday mornings 9:30 - noon, for beginners to advanced pastel artists.  Experience the divinity of creation!  Pastel painting and landscape basics are covered, along with experimenting with various surfaces and techniques, but more importantly, students are encouraged to release judgment and expectation, and lose themselves in the act of creation. Tuition for a 4-week session is $100.
