Mayo Art Exhibit at PACTV Gallery.The opening reception will take
place
Friday, April 6 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.Any student who has taken classes with me in the
past year is welcome to
show 2 or 3 pieces of their framed work.We also hold a silent auction to benefit a special
Heifer International
project. Last year we raised over $500 that we split
between our sister city, Shichigahama,
Japan and Heifer’s Cambodian Womens project.The show will run through May 1 at
PACTV Gallery, 4 Collins

I've had such a busy
summer teaching, I've hardly had time to paint!
Spring
2011
April 29 - June 6 - See my work at the Marion Art Center, 80
Pleasant Street, Marion, MA from April 29 – June 8, 2011. I
am one of nine artists from the Pastel Painters Society of
Cape Cod whose works are included in this special pastel
exhibit. The opening reception is Friday, April 29th, 6 to 8
p.m., admission is free and all are welcome.

My painting See No
Evil, Speak No Evil, Hear No Evil is
published in the Richeson 75 Small Works catalog.
My
mixed media piece, "The
Promise" and pastel painting, "If
Not For You" will be on exhibit at the Cotuit Center
for the Arts HOPE show, a special show based on the concept
of hope and how it is expressed in art. The show runs
November 13 through December 18, 2010. Opening reception:
Saturday, November 13th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Gallery
hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Free
admission.
I am also happy to report that I am one of nine pastel
artists to be juried into the Marion Art Center's spring
pastel show. Details to come.
FALL 2010 - Thursday after
school classes are going very well. Lots of new
kids, all very talented! The Queen of Costumes
helped students create the costumes of their
dreams! Pics to come.

adults alike to create the costumes of their dreams!
$100 for the 4-week session.
SUMMER
2010 at the Top of the World was very busy with
classes Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, I hardly

Only 2010 show. The show runs June 9 - 27,
2010, at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, 307 Old
Main Street, South Yarmouth, MA 02664. The
opening reception and awards (presented by Richard
McKinley) is Saturday, June 12, 5-8

SOCIETY OF AMERICA I
am honored to have been elected a Juried Associate
Member of the Pastel
Society of America (PSA).
SUMMER
CLASSES I
will be teaching classes at White Cliffs Thursday
mornings starting June 10. June 10, 9-11, and
all future Thursdays, 10-noon. I am also
cooking up a schedule of summer classes for kids,
adults and families. More to come!
April
2010 Spring
is springing and we'll be getting back into the Top
of the World Studio now that the weather is getting
good. The siding shingles are being applied,
and we are looking forward to a wonderful season of
plein air painting! Visit my student

2010 2ND
ANNUAL STUDENTS OF HEIDI MAYO EXHIBIT On
March 26, we auctioned off 10 paintings of goats and
sheep to support Heifer International. Artists
who donated their work were Andrea Doty, Hayley and
Payton Reifeiss, Marin Lloyd, Sadie Fosdick, Wes
Farino-Sliva, Tim Bessette, Elizabeth Healy, Alexa
Stuart, and me! We raised $408, and with
matching funds our donation bought 3.26 goats! The
2nd Annual Students of Heidi Mayo Art Exhibit
features the works of many very talented artists
from age 6 to 86 runs through April 23, 2010 at
PACTV Gallery, 4 Collins Ave, Plymouth, MA
02360 Admission is free • All are
welcome. The show runs through Friday, April 23rd
during PACTV's operating hours: M-W-Th-F: 10AM-10PM,
Tuesday: 10AM-6PM, Saturday: 10AM-2PM. Hope to

MAYO & JOAN DROMEY AT BELLA'S Currently
at Bella's Restaurant in Rockland - Two Great
Artists - One Great Show. Pastel paintings of
Heidi Mayo and Joan Dromey on display through
April. Openoing reception March 14, 5-7.

pastel paintings!

2010 I
am honored to have my painting Red Springs
juried into the IAPS
(International Association of Pastel Societies) 15th
Annual Juried Competition. The show features
100 fine art pastels from around the world in the City of Brea Art
Gallery in Brea, CA from January 23 - March 5,
2010.
My
Christmas eggs were featured in Dovetails
Antiques
& Home Magazine's Holiday 2009
issue. This year the theme was the Top of the
World and the Top of the Wedding cake in honor of
the building of the studio and my daughter's
wedding.
November/December
2009
I
will
be
doing
art
with
kids
on
Tuesday
afternoons at the Hedge School as part of their
Hedge Academy after school program. Some of my
private students go to Hedge School, so they'll be
getting a double dose!
Son
Reflecting was juried into the North River Art
Society's annual calendar competition as one of the
60 finalists and will be on exhibit at GAR Hall in
Marshfield Hills from Oct 26 to Nov 6, 2009.
Path of
Least Resistance won 2nd place for
drawing/pastels in Plymouth Guild's 42nd Annual
Juried Show 2009.
Kids
after school classes will be starting up 2nd week in
September. I
will be holding classes at the Top of the World as
long as the weather and light cooperates. The
space has such wonderful energy and feng shui!

class at the Top of the World! It was great. Also Red Springs got
an honorable mention at the Duxbury Midsummer Show.

Springs was juried into the Pastel Painters
Society of Cape Cod's national show, For Pastels
Only on Cape Cod 2008, and won the Jack Richeson
Award.
Spring
Stream also won Honorable Mention at the
Duxbury Midsummer Show 2007, and 3rd place (tie)
PPSCC Members Show 2007.
